The University offers the unique opportunity to develop knowledge and understanding about space weather that can then be applied as graduates enter the mainstream society. <P style="line-height: 20px;"> In this paper, an example of curriculum development at the Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics, for formal education related to the space environment is presented in outline.
